June 5 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

5-31-17 at 12:40 a.m.   A Whiteside County Deputy conducted a traffic stop on Prophet Road near the Riverdale Road intersection.  During the investigation of the stop, the driver of the vehicle, Bradley C. Meier, 18 of Tampico, IL, was issued a citation for Speeding and Operating Uninsured Vehicle, before he was released from the scene on a Notice to Appear.  Also during the traffic stop, a passenger in the vehicle, Mercedes L. Burger, 19 of Tampico was arrested on an active Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear on a traffic offense.  Burger was unable to immediately post the required bond and was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.   

5-31-17 at 1:25 a.m.  A 17-year-old Morrison, IL, female was stopped for no turn signal in Morrison.  She was cited for No Valid Driver’s License-Graduated License Curfew and released on bond.

6-03-17 at 2:40 a.m.  William C. Weaver, age 28 of Erie, IL, was arrested at his residence on a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear-Possession of Methamphetamine.  He was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held on bond.  Whiteside County K-9 and Erie Police Department assisted in the apprehension.

6-04-17 at1  2:40 a.m.  Kenneth T. Muzzall, Junior, age 32 of Sterling, IL, was stopped for an equipment violation on W. Lincolnway and arrested for two Counts of DUI plus Driving While License Revoked.  He was processed at the Sterling Police Department and released on bond.  Sterling Police and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

6-04-17 at 8:40 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call from a rural Rock Falls, IL, address involving a domestic incident.  David R. Blanton, age 50 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Domestic Battery and Unlawful Interference with Reporting a Domestic Battery.  He was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail pending a future court appearance.
