June 27 Sheriff’s Office Report

06-26-14 at approximately 12:30 a.m.  Deputies were called to the scene of a hit-and-run vehicle accident that occurred near the intersection of E. Route 30 and McNeil Road in Rock Falls, IL.  With assistance from the Rock Falls Police Department and the Illinois State Police, Troy L. Plemmons, 29 of Rock Falls, was taken into custody for Driving while Intoxicated, Driving while License Suspended, Improper Lane Usage, and Failure to Give Information After Striking Property.  Plemmons was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department where he was processed and released after posting bond.  Also cited in the accident was Dustin J. Funderberg, 31 of Rock Falls, for allowing an intoxicated person to drive.  Through the investigation it appears Plemmons missed his turn, drove onto private property, and struck two boat trailers, a privacy fence, and a parked vehicle, before fleeing the scene.
