June 25 Sheriff’s Office Report

The public is reminded that these are merely charges, and all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

06-11-15 at 9:11 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Galt Road near the U. S. Route 30 intersection.  During the investigation of the stop, the driver of the vehicle, J. R. T. Fortune, age 31 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Improper Driving on the Shoulder of the Road, Failure to Signal When Required and two counts of DUI.  The passenger, Stacy J. Poff, age 41 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested on a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear on the charge of Illegal Operation of a Watercraft, along with Illegal Transportation of Alcohol and Possession of Cannabis Less Than 2.5 Grams.  Fortune and Poff were transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where they were processed and later released on a Notice to Appear.  The vehicle was removed from the scene by Williams’ Towing.  

06-16-15 at 12:15 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Avenue B near the intersection of East 10th Street in the City of Rock Falls, IL.  During the investigation of the stop, Kayla L. Steder, age 20 of Dixon, IL, was arrested for Improper Lane Usage, Failure to Signal When Required, and DUI Drugs.  The passenger of the vehicle, Christian D. Withrow, age 21 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.  Withrow was released on scene with a Notice to Appear, while Steder was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assistance was provided on scene by Rock Falls Police Department as well as Williams’ Towing.    

06-16-15 at 10:49 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies were called to a disturbance near Rock Falls, IL.  Upon further investigation, William G. Elder, age 40 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Aggravated Battery to a Peace Officer, Resisting/Obstructing as well as Threatening a Public Official.  William was transported to the Whiteside County Jail for processing and held in lieu of bond.

06-17-15 at 12:37 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies responded to a 911 call of a possibly impaired driver on Moline Road just east of Lyndon Road.  Upon further investigation of the call, they located a vehicle which was driven by Ryan C. Raab, age 25 of Sterling, IL.  Raab was arrested for two counts of DUI and was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assistance was provided on scene by Slim-N-Hank’s Towing.

06-19-15 at 9:37 p.m.  Marvin D. Blixt, age 63 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for two counts of DUI following a traffic stop at U. S. Route 30 and Galt Road, Sterling, IL.  Blixt was processed and released on bond from the Rock Falls Police Department.  Passenger Rosa L. Hart, age 66 also of Rock Falls, was cited for Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.  Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.
 
06-20-15 at 5:57 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in rural Morrison, IL, for a moving violation.  Upon further investigation, Joseph J. Akins, age 27 of Dolon, IL, was arrested for an outstanding Ogle County warrant.  Akins was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was held in lieu of bond.

06-21-15 at 1:46 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a motorist assist on U. S. Route 30 near the intersection of Galt Road.  Upon further investigation, the driver of the vehicle, Ryan M. Owens, age 31 of Silvis, IL, was arrested for two counts of DUI as well as Illegal Transportation of Alcohol.  Owens was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assistance was provided on scene by Slim-N-Hank’s Towing.

06-21-15 at 9:53 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the Morrison, IL, area for a moving violation.  Upon further investigation, Randy J. Jones, age 28 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Speeding, Improper Lane Usage, two counts of Driving Under the Influence, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Jones was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  Morrison Police Department and Hunter’s Towing assisted on scene.

06-22-15 at 12:10 a.m.  Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Dixon Avenue near the intersection of Locust Drive.  Upon further investigation of the stop, Angela K. Archer, age 39 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Speeding and DUI.  Archer was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department, where she was processed and released on a Notice to Appear.  Assistance was provided on scene by Rock Falls Police Department as well as Slim-N-Hank’s Towing.
