On Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at about 5:25 .am., the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office responded to a single-vehicle traffic crash on Moline Road near Matznick Road. Jessie Garza, 24, of Lyndon, IL, was driving east on Moline Road when his vehicle exited the roadway and struck a tree. Garza was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Deputies were assisted on scene by the Sterling Fire Department and CGH EMS.
