June 18 Sheriff’s Office Report and Traffic Crash

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On 6/14/18 at about 3:49 p.m., Deputies responded to a single-vehicle rollover crash on Meredosia Road, just north of Stropes Road in rural Albany, IL.  The driver of the vehicle, 34-year-old Robert R. Fallis of Camanche, IA, was traveling northbound on Meredosia Road, about 1/4 mile north of Stropes Road, when the driver failed to negotiate the curve.  The driver attempted to over correct and lost control, rolling into the east ditch.  He was treated and released on scene by EMS personnel.  Fallis was cited for Improper Lane Usage and released on a promise to comply.  The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Illinois State Police, Albany Police, Albany Fire/EMS, and Cordova Fire.

On 6/15/18 at 2:19 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of W. Lincolnway and Emerson Road for speeding.  Upon further investigation, Jamison Strohmeyer, age 35 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for Driving While License Revoked and a valid Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear.  Jamison was transported to the Sterling Police Department, where he was processed and released.  Assisting on scene was Illinois State Police, Sterling Police, and Slim-‘n-Hanks.

On 6-16-18 at 1:37 p.m., Jarod W. Bryer, age 38 of Sycamore, IL, was stopped on IL Route 40 south of Deer Grove, IL, for speeding.  He was cited for Speeding 70/55 MPH and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  A Promise to Comply was signed and Bryer was released, pending a future court appearance.

On 6/17/18 at 4:28 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle in the area of U. S. Route 30 and McNeil Road.  Upon further investigation, William Elder, age 24 of Rock Falls, was arrested on two Valid Whiteside County warrants and a DOC warrant.  Elder was transported to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, where he was being held in lieu of bond.  Assisting on scene was Rock Falls Police Department.

On 6-17-18 at 8:10 a.m., Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a rural Morrison, IL, address to investigate a domestic dispute.  Prior to their arrival, Lucas A. Phillips, age 33 of Clinton, who was wanted on an active Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear-Burglary, fled the scene on foot.  After an extensive search was conducted, through woods, fields, and all sorts of terrain, Phillips was located walking on the roadway, where he was arrested at about 12:10 p.m.  Phillips was then transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where he was unable to post the required $30,000/10% bond.  Assisting on scene were Fulton Police, Morrison Police, Morrison EMS, and Carroll County Sheriff’s Office K-9.
