June 17 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

On 6-10-19 at 6:55 p.m., Deputies responded to a two-vehicle head-on crash on Creamery Road just south of Mason Road, rural Morrison, IL.  A vehicle driven by Corey T. Kennedy, age 30 of Morrison was traveling northbound on Creamery Road, when his vehicle slid into the path of a southbound vehicle driven by Joshua J. Baker, age 37 of Lyndon, IL.  A passenger in the Kennedy vehicle, Ashley C. Kennedy, age 28 of Morrison, was transported by private means to KSB, Dixon, IL, for treatment of possible injuries.  Both vehicles received moderate damage, and Kennedy was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident.

On 6/10/19 at 11:57 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of Dixon Avenue and W. Humphrey for speeding 76 MPH in a 40 MPH Zone.  Upon further investigation, a 16-year-old female from Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for speeding and transported to the Rock Falls Police Department, where she was processed, given a future court date, and released to her parents.

On 6-14-19 at 9:00 p.m., Christopher S. Knutsen, age 27 of Sterling, IL, was stopped in Rock Falls, IL, for tinted windows.  He was ultimately cited for Tinted Windows, Unlawful Display of Expired Registration Sticker, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  He was released on bond with a mandatory future court date.  Passenger Javon T. Coleman, age 25 also of Sterling, was arrested on an outstanding Whiteside County Contempt of Court Warrant.  He posted bond on scene.  Rock Falls Police assisted on scene.

On 6-14-19 at 10:45 p.m., Terrence I. Wyre, age 39 of Chicago, IL, was stopped in Sterling, IL, for tinted windows.  He was arrested for Tinted Windows and Driving While License Revoked.  Wyre was processed at the Sterling Police Department and released on cash bond.  Sterling Police and Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

On 6-15-19 at 1:15 a.m., Andrew T. Osborn, age 27 of Sterling, IL, was stopped in Rock Falls, IL, for no front registration plate.  He was cited for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and released on bond, with a written warning for no front registration plate, no turn signal, no mud flaps, and fraudulent use of registration.  Rock Falls Police assisted on scene.

On 6-15-19 at 1:31 a.m., Whiteside County Deputies responded to a report of a female passenger jumping out of a moving vehicle on IL-78 south of Morrison, IL.  Upon further investigation, Jenna D. Lilly, age 19 of Morrison, jumped out of the rear passenger seat of a moving vehicle, causing injuries to herself.  She was transported by MedForce Helicopter to Javon-Bea Hospital in Rockford, IL.  Whiteside County was assisted by Morrison Police, Morrison EMS, Morrison Fire, MedForce Helicopter, and Illinois State Police on scene.

On 6-16-19 at 2:00 a.m., Tiffany A. Rivera, age 39 of Rock Falls, IL, was stopped on Galt Road for disobeying a stop sign.  She was ultimately arrested for two Counts of DUI and Disobeying Stop Sign, processed at the Sterling Police Department, and released on bond.  Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.

On 6-16-19 at 8:07 p.m., a 16-year-old Prophetstown, IL, male was stopped for speeding 85/55 MPH on IL Route 40, south of Rock Falls, IL.  He was processed on scene for Speeding 26 to 35 MPH Over the Posted Speed Limit.

On 6/16/19 at 8:37 p.m., Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop near the intersection of IL Route 40 and Star Road for speeding 85 MPH in a 55 MPH zone.  Upon further investigation, Nicholas Whittemore, age 35 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for speeding and civil possession of drug paraphernalia.  Whittemore was transported to the Rock Falls Police Department, where he was processed and released with a future court date.  Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.

On 6-16-19 at 10:32 p.m., Claey M. Verstraete, age 18 of Sterling, IL, was stopped in Sterling for tinted windows.  He was subsequently arrested for DUI-Drugs and Tinted Windows, processed at the Sterling Police Department, and released on bond with future charges pending.  Passenger Caitlyn R. Crowe, age 18 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis.  Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.

On 6-17-19 at 12:30 a.m., Troy A. Wainscott, age 54 of Tampico, IL, was stopped on Moline Road west of U. S. Route 30 for defective exhaust.  He was arrested for Driving While License Suspended and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle, processed at the Sterling Police Department, and released on bond.  Slim-n-Hank’s Towing assisted on scene.
