“Come rain or shine, all of us at Whiteside County TRIAD have worked hard to bring this opportunity to the public.  We are focused on helping the Senior citizens….We know how valuable shredding documents in a safe and secure manner is.  To bring this to two locations in Whiteside County is a blessing, especially after income tax season,” stated Kristopher Schmidt, Chair of Whiteside County TRIAD.  “This event was not only facilitated by Whiteside County TRIAD but, graciously sponsored by Illinois Senior Medicare Patrol (https://www2.illinois.gov/aging/ship/Pages/SMP.aspx) wh[ose] motto is Empowering Seniors to Prevent Healthcare Fraud.  Protect.  Detect.  Report.”

Whiteside County TRIAD gratefully accepts monetary donations through their account at Sauk Valley Bank.  If you would like more information, to volunteer, or attend meetings, please contact any member of TRIAD at whitesidetriad@gmail.com or through Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/whitesidecountytriad/.

TRIAD began as a National initiative sponsored by the American Association of Retired Persons, the International Association of Chiefs of Police, and the National Sheriff’s Association.  TRIADs have been developed in communities throughout Illinois and the Nation, to promote crime prevention for older citizens.  Illinois TRIAD was one of the first organizations in the Nation to guide a statewide response to the critical issue of crime against Seniors.
