July 2 Sheriff’s Office Report

These arrests are merely a charge, and he/she is presumed innocent until proven guilty.

6-25-18 at 7:20 p.m.  A citizen reported a vehicle all over the roadway traveling eastbound on U. S. Route 30 entering Morrison, IL.  Deputies stopped the vehicle driven by Shane S. Higdon, age 44 of Morrison.  Higdon was ultimately arrested for DUI-Drugs, No Valid Illinois Driver’s License, and No Valid Illinois Registration, processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, and released on bond.  Rick’s Towing assisted on scene as well as Morrison Police.

6-30-18  Following a crash that occurred 6-20-18 at 1548 on Dixon Avenue at Hill Drive, Daniel J. Yanes, age 40 of Rock Falls,IL, was cited for Failure to Yield-Left Turn and given a mandatory court date in Morrison, IL.  During the crash, Yanes was originally eastbound on Dixon Avenue and went to turn north onto Hill Drive but, he failed to yield to a motorcycle traveling westbound operated by Paul W. Abrams, age 44 of Rock Falls, IL.  Abrams was transported to CGH for treatment after being ejected from his motorcycle.  Rock Falls Police, Rock Falls Fire, and CGH assisted on scene.

6-29-18 at 10:09 a.m.  David A. Moshure, age 60 of Erie, IL, was stopped in Erie for no front registration plate.  He was ultimately arrested for No Front Registration Plate and two counts of DUI, processed at the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, and released with a Notice to Appear on July 26, 2018, in Morrison, IL.  Erie Police and Rick’s Towing assisted on scene.

6-30-18 at 3:25 a.m.  Deputies and Albany Fire/EMS responded to an ATV crash with injuries on Gaulrapp Road, rural Albany, IL.  Cole D. Kellett, age 33 of Cordova, IL, was riding an ATV on the roadway, when he rolled it over causing injuries to himself.  Kellett was transported to Genesis-Illini Campus in Silvis, IL, where he was treated for his injuries.  Kellett was cited for Unlawful Operation of an ATV on the Roadway and Driving Under the Influence.  The investigation is still pending further.

6-30-18 at 11:58 p.m.  Michael L. Struve, age 38 of Moline, IL, was stopped on IL Route 84 north of Albany, IL, for an inoperative rear registration light.  Struve was cited for No Rear Registration Light, No Valid Driver’s License, and Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle.  He was processed at the Whiteside County Jail and released on bond.  Midwest Towing assisted on scene.

7-01-18 at 4:39 a.m.  Courtney N. Siegwarth, age 25 of Clinton, IA, was stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 west of Morrison, IL.  Siegwarth was cited for Speeding-26 to 34 MPH over the speed limit, taken into limited custody, and processed at the Whiteside County Jail for the offense, before being released on bond.

7-01-18 at 5:59 p.m.  Whiteside County Deputies and Illinois State Police Troopers responded to a Tampico, IL, address for a reported male subject with a gun.  Once on scene, Aaron L. Cox, age 28 of Tampico was taken into custody and later charged with: Unlawful Use of Weapons-Silencer, Unlawful Use of Weapons-Shotgun Barrel Under 18 inches, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Another resident, Santana Todd, age 20 of Tampico, was charged with Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.  Both were remanded to the Whiteside County Jail on felony charge(s).
