The following Arrests were made and Citations issued since Friday, July 2, 2021.
Arrests: On Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at approximately 8:54 a.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Vasilica F. Benner, age 31 of Maple Park, IL, in the 400 block of E.Lincolnway, for moving and registration violations. As a result of the traffic stop, Benner was issued a written warning for Expired Registration and arrested pursuant to an Arrest Warrant (Controlled Substance Violation), issued by the State of Iowa. Benner was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
On Tuesday, July 20, 2021, at approximately 10:56 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by George T. Pelka, age 68 of Morrison, IL, on E. Lincolnway at N. Cherry Street, for a moving violation. As a result of the traffic stop, Pelka was arrested and charged with Failure to Signal When Required, Illegal Transportation of Alcoholic Liquor in a Motor Vehicle, and Driving Under the Influence (Drugs.) Pelka was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, processed, and released with a Notice to Appear.
