At approximately 3:10 a.m., Thursday, July 18, 2013, the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a single-vehicle accident on Chase Road, Fulton, IL. Law enforcement personnel arrived on scene and located a wrecked motorcycle, which, after investigation, was determined to have been traveling southbound on Chase Road approximately 1/4 mile north of 17485 Chase Road.
At that time the motorcycle was laid down and skidded a considerable distance before ejecting the driver. The motorcycle came to rest in the drivway of 17485 Chase Road. The driver was later determined to be Logan K. Williamson, 20, of Fulton. He was transported by personal vehicle to Mercy-North Hospital in Clinton, IL, for treatment of injuries, prior to Deputies’ arrival. Fulton Police Department assisted with the scene.
Williamson died at the University of Iowa Hospital as a result of his injuries. The Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office investigation into the matter continues.
