Judith “Judy” Ann Hook, 82, of Morrison, IL. died November 23, 2023, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling, IL.
Judy was born November 7, 1941, in Morrison, to Clair and Dorothy (Williams) Scudder. She married James Smith and later married John Hook on April 7, 1992, in Morrison Judy worked at Collis, and then for General Electric, retiring from there. She loved her family and family get-togethers, and especially attending her grandchildren’s and great-grandchildren’s sports events and dance recitals. Judy enjoyed finding bargains at garage sales, motorcycle and car trips, and family genealogy.
Judy is survived and will be missed by her husband, John; brother, Gene Scudder; sister-in-law, Mary (Stephen) Gowan; sons, Rick Smith and Daniel Smith; stepson, Marcus (Anna) Hook; stepdaughter, Michelle (Ryan) Wilkens. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Aleshia Turner, Josh (Whitney) Smith, Thomas Smith, Dylan Smith, Jessica Smith, and Ryan Earl; five stepgrandchildren, Tyler Hook, Marcus Allen Hook, Justine DeBoer, Logan Wilkens, and Preston Fookes; 12 great-grandchildren, Ryder, Chloe, Kennedy, Emma, Andrew, Lucas, Laura, Ariya, Braxtyn, Cooper, Jamison, and Mykall; special friend, Lori Smith.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ray Scudder; sisters, Dorothy Mae Tiesman and Joyce Blair.
Her Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 28, 2023, at the Morrison Chapel of the Bosma-Renkes Funeral Home, with Pastor Roger Carlson officiating.
Visitation will precede the Funeral service, from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.
A memorial has been established for the New Hope Baptist Church of Sterling, IL.
Interment will be in Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison., IL
