Joe W. Billings, Jr., 85 of Sterling, IL, died Wednesday, August 30, 2023, at CGH Medical Center in Sterling.
Joe was born October 1, 1937, in Chilhowie, VA, the son of Joe and Bradley (Duncan) Billings, Sr. He married Alice Royer on August 2, 1958, in Sterling. She preceded him in death on December 7, 2022. Joe was active in attending car shows and enjoyed working on his 1949 Chevy pickup.
Survivors include his sons, Jerry (Mindy) Billings of Sterling, Joe (Dawn) Billings of Sterling, Jeff (Roxanne) Billings of Rock Falls; daughter, Jaini (Joe) Driscoll of Morrison, IL; nine grandchildren, Jory (Jeanne) Billings, Jasmin Nehring, Ryan (Melissa Brown) Billings, Drew (Melissa) Hall, Hailey (Ciera) Hall, Morgan (Corey) Judd, Corey Billings, Kyle Billings, and Nick Powell; seven great-grandchildren.
Joe was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 2, 2023, at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling, IL, with Scott Porter of Abiding Word officiating.
Burial was at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling, IL.
