The Volunteer Millers at de Immigrant Windmill in Fulton, IL, are proud to announce their monthly programming scheduled for Monday, September 17, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at the Windmill Cultural Center, 111 Tenth Avenue, in downtown Fulton, across from the authentic Dutch windmill. Monthly programming is supported from local D. S. Flikkema Foundation funds.
The Edgar Crockett Jazz Trio will perform a variety of styles, ranging from bebop and jazz standards, to Latin jazz and funk. With such a wide range of selections, everyone will surely find something to enjoy. The members of this trio have performed professionally with many jazz legends throughout their careers.
Edgar Crockett, pictured, (trumpet and flugelhorn) holds a PhD in composition from the University of Iowa. Currently, he is a Professor of Music at Black Hawk College in Moline, IL. As a commercial trumpeter he has performed with Ray Charles, Roberta Flack, The Temptations, The Four Tops, and many others jazz greats.
Ron Tegeler (guitar) and Ron Wilson (bass) are two of the most-coveted, regional jazz musicians. Both play in many jazz and commercial bands in the Bi-State area.
The program is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served following the music. The facility is accessible to persons with disabilities.
