Jason Adam Damhoff, 47, of Riverton, IL, died at 11:18 a.m.; on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Springfield Memorial Hospital.
Jason was born July 18, 1974, in Sterling, IL. He graduated from Morrison High School in 1993 and attended MTI in Quincy, IL, where he earned his Welding certificate Jason worked with his family at Austin Home Improvement, LLC, and was employed by the Springfield Park District as a Carpenter. He was a member of A.B.A.T.E and loved riding his motorcycle Jason also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing, cooking, and grilling. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. His warm spirit and quick wit will forever be missed.
Jason was preceded in death by his grandparents, Warren and Anne Petersen, Donald Damhoff, and Howard Martin; uncles, Paul Petersen and Doug Damhoff; aunts, Debra Morgan and Sue Damhoff.
Jason is survived by his daughters, Kirsten and Keeley Damhoff, both of Rochester; son, Blayne English of Virden; parents, Patti and Dave Austin of Riverton, IL, and Dick and Julie Damhoff of Morrison, IL; sisters, Lindsay Damhoff of Riverton and Jillian Damhoff of Riverton; step-brother, David Dykstra of Morrison; step-sister, Angie (Brian) Waugh of Bettendorf, IA; grandmother, Geraldine Damhoff of Morrison; step-grandparents Don and Ruth Morthland, of Morrison; nieces and nephews, Trae, Camden, Lainah, Ethan, Evan, Addison, and Quinn; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Visitation: Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45, on Saturday, November 27, 2021, at Butler Funeral Home-Springfield, 900 S. 6th Street, Springfield, IL.
A Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12:00 noon, with Cindy Lash officiating. COVID-19 guidance will be followed, requiring face coverings.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, Springfield, IL.
