12-24-14 at 6:30 p.m. In the parking lot of Casey’s located on W. Lincolnway in Sterling, IL, Whiteside County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Sarah M. Vancil, age 29 of Sterling, on an active Whiteside County warrant for Failing to Appear on a Contempt of Court Charge. Vancil was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where she later posted the required bond and was released.
12-24-14 at 10:28 p.m. Jordan T. Neal, age 21 of Sterling, IL, was stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 east of Fulton, IL, and arrested for the speeding offense of 82/55 MPH as well as Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle. His Illinois Driver’s License was posted as bond.
12-24-14 at 11:30 p.m. Trena L. Renner, age 35 of Moline, IL, was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for speeding on U. S. Route 30 east of Fulton, IL. She was arrested for a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Pay/Appear on Possession of Cocaine. Renner posted bond and was released on scene pending her January 21, 2015, court date in Morrison, IL.
12-24-14 at 11:56 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies were dispatched to a residence in rural Sterling, IL, due to a 911 call reporting a domestic battery. During the investigation, Douglas M. Strehlow, age 40 of Sterling, was arrested for Domestic Battery along with Aggravated Domestic Battery. Strehlow was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held until his appearance in court.
12-25-14 at 2:30 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies were dispatched to Happy Tails Annimal Shelter in rural Rock Falls, IL, due to an activated burglar alarm. Once on scene, Michael L. Bell, age 51 of Rock Falls, was arrested for Burglary. Bell was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held until his appearance in court. Assisting on scene was the Rock Falls Police Department.
12-26-14 at 3:25 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on Route 30 near the Riverdale Road intersection. During the investigation of the stop Justin L. Reyes, age 27 of Rock Falls, IL, was issued citations for Unlawful Display of License Plates not Authorized by Law for use on Such Vehicle, Operating a Vehicle with No Valid Registration, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle. Also, Reyes was issued a Written Warning for No Taillights. He was eventually released from the scene on a Notice to Appear. The vehicle was removed from the roadway by Slim-N-Hank’s out of Sterling, IL.
12-29-14 at 7:35 p.m. Nemantkumar B. Vaidya, age 51 of Mount Prospect, IL, was stopped on Interstate 88 at milepost 36 for speeding. He was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and Speeding 83/70 MPH. His Illinois Driver’s License was posted as bond. He was also issued a written warning for Obstructed Vision plus Unlawful Use of an Electronic Communication Device.
12-29-14 at 10:27 p.m. Sydni L. Eilers, age 20 of Sterling, IL, was stopped on U. S. Route 30 at Melvin Road for an inoperative rear registration light. She was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Cannabis and Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Her passenger, Javier Cid Tochimani, age 22 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested for Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Both were released with a Notice to Appear, and Sydni received a written warning for the equipment violation.
12-30-14 at 1:00 a.m. Betsy J. Walker, age 38 of Sterling, IL, was arrested by Deputies following the investigation of a single-vehicle crash at IL Route 40 and Hickory Hills Road. Walker was arrested for Driving Too Fast for Conditions, DUI, Aggravated DUI, No Valid Driver’s License, Aggravated Battery – Peace Officer, and Resisting/Obstructing a Peace Officer. She was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail on the felony charge. Sterling Police assisted.
12-30-14 at 9:55 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop on I-88 near mile marker 35. During the investigation of the stop, Calvin W. Clevenger, age 29 of Colona, IL, was charged with Speeding, Possession of Cannabis 30-500 Grams, and two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Clevenger was transported to, and held at, the Whiteside County Jail until his appearance in court. The vehicle was removed from the roadway by Slim-n-Hank’s out of Sterling, IL.
12-30-14 at 10:58 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the area of rural Lyndon, IL. Upon further investigation, Steven S. Solomon, age 21 of Hanover Park, IL, was arrested for Speeding, Possession of Cannabis, as well as Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Solomon was transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where we was released on a Notice to Appear pending a future court appearance.
12-31-14 at 12:40 a.m. Ronald W. McNinch, age 27 of Sterling, IL, was arrested at his residence on a Whiteside County Warrant for Failure to Appear – Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was remanded to the Whiteside County Jail.
01-02-15 at 7:07 p.m. Colten W. Brauer, age 23 of Rock Falls, IL, was arrested on W. Lincolnway and Galt Road, Sterling, IL, for Speeding 66/55 MPH and two counts of DUI. He was processed at the Sterling Police Department and released on a Notice to Appear.
01-02-15 at 11:24 p.m. Phoebe A. Graves, age 24 of Sterling, IL, was stopped on 12th Avenue and 2nd Street, Rock Falls, IL, for Speeding. She was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and posted her Illinois Driver’s License as bond.
01-03-15 at 12:01 a.m. A 16-year-old Sterling, IL, female was stopped on 12th Avenue and 2nd Street, Rock Falls, IL, for speeding. She was arrested for speeding 41/30 MPH and No Valid Driver’s License – Invalidated. She was released on an I-Bond. Williams’ Towing assisted on scene.
1-3-15 at 12:22 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies responded to a disturbance in Albany, IL. Upon further investigation, David E. Hesse, age 34 of Albany, was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Battery and Possession of a Firearm with a Revoked FOID Card. Hesse was transported to the Whiteside County Jail and held in lieu of bond.
01-03-15 at 8:09 p.m. Dakota R. Hagerman, age 23 of Sterling, IL, was stopped at U. S. Route 30 and Galt Road for defective exhaust. He was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and No Valid Registration – Violation of Antique Vehicle Plates. His Illinois Driver’s License was posted as bond, and he was issued a written warning for defective exhaust.
01-03-15 at 10:33 p.m. A 16-year-old Rock Falls, IL, male was stopped for tinted windows in Rock Falls. He was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and posted bond with his Illinois Driver’s License. He was issued a written warning for the tinted windows.
01-03-15 at 11:15 p.m. Brittani S. Leach, age 26 of Sterling, IL, was stopped in Rock Falls, IL, for Failure to Signal. She was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and released on an I-Bond. A written warning was issued for the turn signal violation.
01-04-15 at 12:55 a.m. Rhett A. Henson, age 21 of Sterling, IL, was stopped at Avenue G and 3rd Street, Sterling, for no taillights and no brakelights. He was arrested for Operating an Uninsured Motor Vehicle and posted his Illinois Driver’s License as bond. He received a written warning for the taillights, brake lights, and defective exhaust.
01-04-15 at 4:05 a.m. Deputies responded to a vehicle parked in the middle of the road at IL Route 40 and Ridge Road. David W. Dublo, age 36 of Sterling, IL, was arrested for DUI, Unlawful Possession of Cannabis, and Illegal Transportation of Alcohol. He was processed at the Whiteside County Jail.
01-04-15 at 10:07 p.m. Whiteside County Deputies responded to a disturbance in the area of Deer Grove, IL. Upon further investigation, Melissa R. Brandon, age 36 of Deer Grove, was arrested for Disorderly Conduct and transported to the Whiteside County Jail, where she posted bond and was released pending a future court appearance.
