01-03-17 at 10:45 a.m. Whiteside County Deputies were dispatched to the area west of Yager Road on Bunker Hill Road for a single-vehicle accident that struck a power pole. The driver, Thomas L. Siebert, age 75 of Morrison, IL, was traveling west on Bunker Hill Road after turning off Yager Road, when he accelerated on the wet road, causing him to lose control of his vehicle. After he lost control of the vehicle, the vehicle left the roadway and struck a power pole. When the vehicle struck the pole it–along with the power line–broke, causing a power outage. Siebert was not hurt. ComEd as well as Hunter Towing assisted.
