The following Arrests were made and Citations issued since Friday, January 29, 2021.
Arrests: On Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at approximately 10:51 p.m., Morrison Police conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Wayne A. Tomasson, age 42 of Rapid City, IL, for a registration violation. The stop occurred east of Bishop Road on Lincoln Road (U. S. Route 30), Morrison, IL. As a result of the stop, Morrison Police arrested Tomasson pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Tomasson with Violation of Probation-Possession of Methamphetamine. Tomasson was also issued Citations for Operating Uninsured Vehicle and Revoked Registration. A passenger, Corey T. Wade, age 46 of Clinton, IA, was also arrested pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Lee County, charging Wade with Failure to Appear-Dangerous Drugs, and an Arrest Warrant issued by Iowa for Failure to Appear-Mittimus. Both Tomasson and Wade were transported to the Whiteside County Jail. Morrison Police were assisted by the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office and their K-9 Unit. This incident remains under investigation by Morrison Police.
On Thursday, February 4, 2021, at approximately 9:11 p.m., Morrison Police responded to 402 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL, regarding a domestic dispute. As a result of the investigation, Morrison Police arrested Jarvis J. Woods, age 31 of Morrison, pursuant to an Arrest Warrant issued by Whiteside County, charging Woods with Failure to Appear – Criminal Trespass to Land. Woods was transported to the Whiteside County Jail.
