January 15 Illinois State Police Arrest and Crash Reports

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Carlos De Los Reyes, 19, of Rochelle, IL, was stopped for speeding on 1/10/2019 at 1:41 p.m., on Interstate 39 northbound at milepost 103, in Ogle County.  He was charged with Speeding, No Insurance, Expired Registration, and No Driver’s License on Person.  De Los Reyes was released on an I-bond.  A 17-year-old male juvenile passenger was wanted on an Ogle County warrant for Contempt of Court and a DeKalb County warrant for Assault.  He was turned over to Ogle County authorities.  A 15-year-old male juvenile passenger was entered as a Missing Juvenile from Rochelle.  He was transferred to Rochelle Police Department.

James L. Jaskiewicz, 49, of Mt. Morris, IL, was stopped for loud exhaust on 1/11/2019 at 11:45 p.m., on Hitt Street at Reynolds Street in Mt. Morris.  He was wanted on a warrant for Failure to Appear.  Jaskiewicz posted $414 bond and was released.

The Illinois State Police investigated a two-vehicle personal injury crash on 1/12/2019 at 11:48 a.m., on U. S. Route 30 0.25 miles east of Elston Road in Whiteside County.  A 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by a 17-year-old male driver was westbound on U. S. Route 30, when he drove off the roadway and lost control of the vehicle.  This caused the vehicle to spin into the eastbound lane and strike a 2014 Honda CR-V head-on.  The Honda driver, 57-year-old Paul A. Alsup, of Genoa, IL, was extricated and transported to Mercy Hospital by Fulton, IL, EMS.  The 17-year-old driver was cited for Driving in the Wrong Lane.  He and his three passengers were not injured.
