Ever optimistic despite predicted heavy snowfall, business owner Andrea Ramirez will host the first Vendor Fair of the new decade, inside Embraced, her wellness business at 104 W. Main Street, Morrison, IL, on Saturday, January 11, 2020, from 9:00 a.m. to noon. She and husband Christopher lease the former Quinn’s Jewelry building.
Beginning in February, Embraced will hold monthly Vendor Fairs on the first Saturday of each month, from 9:00 to noon. Ramirez wants to provide a venue to promote area vendors. Vendor Fair photos below were taken before Christmas. Cindy Bonneur designs attractive chests. Sandy Prescott makes cards. Artists exhibit a wide range of jewelry.
There are tables for chatting, playing games, or doing homework after school. Information is shard about health and wellness options, including popular CBD oils. Ramirez does massages. Kaywyn Beswick teaches yoga in the basement.
Scented, colorful wax chips were available to melt in purchased warmers or your own. Combining fragrances added to the depth of the experience. The Goddard sisters were assisted by Mrs. Nicolaysen.
At 6:30 p.m., on Friday, January 17, Ramirez will initiate “Friend Speed Dating.” She will offer women of all ages an opportunity to get out and get together, perhaps meeting others with similar interests. It is available to women who are new to town or long time residents, those who are single, married, or widowed. Each month offers entertainment: a comedian; games to play; self-defense instruction. There will be buy one, get one drink specials.
