James D. Shaw, 58, of Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Morrison, IL, died Wednesday, December 18, 2013, at his home.
James was born on September 16, 1955, in Sterling, IL, the son of James H. and Barbara A. (Woosley) Shaw. He was employed by Tru Vision for five years and then by Pyrmont, both in Indianapolis, for eight years as a computer programmer. He was a member of The Bridge Church, Indianapolis, and enjoyed traveling. When he was younger he had the opportunity to travel and explore Europe.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Haring of Herrin, IL; three sisters, Pamela (Robert) Habben of Morrison, IL, Barbara O’Neal of Sterling, and Korby (Paul) Marusich of Bloomington, MN; one brother, Billy (Angie) Shaw of Rock Falls, IL; ten nieces and nephews, Candie Larson, Amy Dodge, Bobbie Lee Habben, Jamison Smith, Darren Dykema, Cory Bird, Joy Deutcher, Robert Finn, Ian Finn, and Camron Shaw.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26, 2013, at the McDonald Funeral Home, Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, December 27, 2013, at the funeral home.
A memorial has been established for the American Cancer Society.
