James Alan Miatke, age 62, died at home on Thursday, November 30, 2023, following an extended illness.
James was born on November 5, 1961, in Sterling, IL, the son of Kenneth and Rita (Bonnell) Miatke. He was employed at several factories in the area, including Rayovac in Dixon, IL. James most recently was a Route Driver for Folsom Bakery in Rock Falls, IL.
Survivors include his sisters, Florence (Larry) Fogel of Ahmeek, MI, Nancy Long of Marhle Falls, TX, and Jolene Kolb of Morrison, IL; nieces and nephews, Barb (Damien) Kia, Kris (Jim) Ross, Jason (Naomi) Fogel, Melissa (James) East, Jennifer Noblin, Jeff Long, Louis Long, Jr., Justin Holcomb, Ryan Holcomb, Brett (Beccah) Holcomb; bonus daughter, Jessica Kennedy of Rock Falls; her children, Serenity, Lilith, and Raylan; bonus son, Jim Ford of Texas; special friends, Brad Tedrick, Terry Miller, Barry Hassell, and Greg Hicks all of Rock Falls.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Louis Long.
Cremation rites have been accorded.
There are no Services at this time.
A Celebration of Life is planned for April/May 2024.
