Jacklin Rose Bales, 73, of Rock Falls, IL, died on Friday, January 13, 2023, at KSB Hospital in Dixon, IL.
Jacklin was born on March 27, 1949, in Bloomington, IL, the daughter of Dale S. and Rose (McCleary) Gibson. She married Dale Bales on September 16, 1966. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2022. Jacklin worked at East Coloma School for many years. She was a Gold Star member of the American Legion. She enjoyed bingo and spending time with her dog, Max. Jacklin and Dale also loved going for car rides together. She took great joy in spending time with her grandkids, often baking Christmas cooks and zucchini bread. Jacklin also loved babysitting and spending time with her great grandkids, whom she loved very much.
Survivors include her daughter, Crystal (Ron) Anger of Rock Falls; sons, Robert (Jay King) Bales of Rock Falls, and Jason (Paul Inskeep) Bales of Clinton, IA; sister, Doreen (Ron) Bontz; brothers, Scott (Wendy) Gibson, Gerald Gibson, and Jerry (Marge) Gibson, all of Rock Falls; five grandchildren, Allyson (Travis) Tomman of Sterling, Kaylyn Anger of Belleville, IL, Kasey (Katelyn) Anger of Morrison, IL, Addyson (Devan) Kuhhlemier, and Adryan Lattimer Bales, both of Rock Falls; seven great-grandchildren, Elly, Milly, Winni, Theodore, Annabelle, Laynie, and Ilaura.
Jacklin was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dale Michael Bales; brother, Dale Gibson.
Visitation was held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
A Funeral service followed at 11:00, with Pastor Dalmus Meeks officiating.
Burial concluded at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, IL.
