Jack W. James, 86 formerly of Erie, IL, died Sunday, July 13, 2014, at Resthave Retirement and Nursing Home, Morrison, IL.
Mr. James was born March 1, 1928. in Fenton Township, IL, the son of Harry and Ruby Mickle James. He married Viola Frohling on December 6, 1947, in Erie. She died on March 1, 2012. Jack was employed by Rock River Lumber and Grain, Prophetstown, IL, for over 50 years. He was a member of Erie Christian Church, where he had served as a Deacon. He enjoyed bowling, woodworking, camping, and fishing.
Survivors include daughters, Donna (Kurt) Ricker, Erie, Jodie (Philip) Peterson, DeKalb, IL, and Pam (Mark) Marinangeli, Morrison; a son Brad (Carole) James, Hinckley, IL; 16 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services at the Erie Cemetery will be held at a later date.
