The International Thanksgiving Fellowship Weekend program has been a part of Morrison’s Thanksgiving tradition since the 1960’s. Thankfully it continues, due to generous support from the Rotary Club of Morrison.
Twenty-three international students from various countries will arrive, by chartered bus from different colleges in Chicago, IL, on Wednesday, November 23, 2016. They will stay with local families to experience an American holiday.
Organizers Janet Fisher and Carol Hollister invite you to come meet these special guests, by joining them for a delicious, community potluck dinner. It will be held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, November 25, in the basement at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 601 N. Jackson Street, Morrison. Enter at the back of the church; take the stairs or elevator to the community room.
Dinner is followed by a candle lighting ceremony, local entertainment, and American traditional dances.
Reservations are not needed. Bring a dish to pass, beverages, and your own table service.
This is a wonderful way for your family to meet people from other countries.
Please call Janet Fisher at 563-249-1414 or Carol Hollister at 815-499-1954 with questions.
