Looking for some fun on Friday evening, November 28, 2014? Come join us for a delicious potluck supper and meet our guests, who are visiting Morrison, IL, over the weekend. The International Thanksgiving Fellowship Weekend program has been a part of Morrison’s Thanksgiving tradition since the 1960’s. This is a wonderful way to extend the hand of friendship around the globe.
This year, 11 international students from various countries will arrive by chartered bus from colleges in Chicago, IL, on Wednesday, November 26. They will stay with local families through the weekend, to experience an American holiday.
Organizers Janet Fisher and Carol Hollister, along with Church Women United, would love to have you meet these special guests. Join us for dinner at a community potluck held at 6:30 p.m., Friday, November 28, in the basement at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 601 N. Jackson Street, in Morrison. Please use the back door entrance. If you prefer not to use stairs, an elevator is available.
Dinner is followed by a candle-lighting ceremony, local entertainment, and American traditional dances.
Reservations are not needed. Bring a dish to pass, beverages, and table service.
Please call Janet Fisher at 815-772-7668 or Carol Hollister at 815-772-4032 with questions.
