International Thanksgiving Fellowship Weekend college students will be in town over the Thanksgiving holiday. The community of Morrison is invited to interact with them! We have guests coming from France, Colombia, China, Korea, and Spain.
Organizers Janet Fisher, Carol Hollister, and Ben Hollister, along with Church Women United, would love to have you meet these special guests. Join us for dinner at a community potluck being held Friday evening, November 29, 2013, at 6:30 p.m. in the basement of St. Peter Lutheran Church, located at 601 N. Jackson Street in Morrison, IL.
Please use the rear entrance. There is an elevator available.
The International Thanksgiving Fellowship Weekend program has been a part of Morrison’s Thanksgiving tradition since the 1960’s. This year, ten students from various countries will be arriving by chartered bus from the University of Chicago, International House, to experience an American holiday.
Dinner is followed by a candle lighting ceremony, local entertainment, and American traditional dancing.
Reservations are not needed. Bring a dish to pass, beverages, and table service for yourself.
Come join the fun, as we extend our hands of friendship across the globe.
