Illinois State Police District 1 Commander Carl Heintz has announced District 1 enforcement figures and activity for March 2018.
Troopers issued 515 Citations, 458 Written Warnings, and made 19 Criminal Arrests.
Speeding accounted for 310 citations; 23 citations were issued for Occupant Restraint violations; 27 citations were issued for Distracted Driving violations.
Troopers investigated 22 traffic crashes, assisted 110 motorists, and conducted 118 commercial vehicle inspections, six of which were placed out-of-service for safety reasons.
There were 2 arrests made for Driving Under the Influence.
District 1, which encompasses Carroll, Lee, Ogle, and Whiteside Counties, had three traffic crash fatalities in March.
