Mosey over to the Whiteside County Fairgrounds grandstand, 201 W. Winfield Street, Morrison, IL, for some exciting, fast-paced athleticism, on Saturday, April 28, and Sunday, April 29, 2019. The Illinois High School Rodeo Association “promote[s] horsemanship, sportsmanship, and character.”
Tickets are $8 when purchased in advance at Farmers National Bank, in Morrison, and Prophetstown, IL. The price is $10 at the gate.
Breakfast fundraisers will be held both days, from 7:00 to 10:00 a.m. The schedules are
- Saturday, April 28: 9:00 a.m. Junior Rodeo; 1:00 p.m. High School Rodeo; 7:00 p.m. High School Rodeo Performance
- Sunday, April 29: 7:30 a.m. Cowboy Church, open to the public. “Come rejoice with us!” 9:00 a.m. High School Rodeo Performance.

During the Illinois Junior High and High School Rodeo competitions boys and girls on horseback will display their prowess in ten classes: Barrel Racing; Tie Down Roping; Pole Bending; Steer Wrestling; Goat Tying; Bareback Riding; Breakaway Roping; Saddle Bronc; Team Roping; Bull Riding.
