Hunting Easter Eggs at Pleasant View

Posted by

eggfieldThe Easter Egg Hunt season began on Wednesday afternoon, April 16, 2014, on the expansive north lawn of Pleasant View Rehabilitation & Health Care Center, 500 N. Jackson Street, Morrison, IL.  It was brisk and chilly, so residents who watched were bundled in cozy blankets.  Inside, others watched from their windows.  The children were strategically placed to run toward the building for good viewing.

Three fields were demarcated with yellow tape, each reserved for one of three age groups of children:  0 to 4; 5 to 7; 8 to 10.  Easter Bunny and assistants had prepared the areas with colorful plastic eggs that looked like giant jelly beans.  Also strewn in the grass were a variety of age-appropriate books and toys.

“It’s always a pleasure to have the children of the community take part in our Easter Egg Hunt,” commented Serenia Law.  She is the Office Manager in Human Resources at Pleasant View.

The first heat began just after 4:00 p.m.  Tiny tots needed assistance, and some were not sure what they were to do.  A boy wearing a tractor hoodie stared at his basket with helpless little hands.  Big people pointed and talked them through it.  Others, closer to three and four, were right on target.  A girl in a lavendar dress scooped up the books.
