How to Report a Street Light That is Out

Posted by

City Administrator Barry Dykhuizen, ICMA-CM, stated, “Now that the clocks are changed and darkness has befallen us, street lights that are out are more noticeable.  The street lights are owned and maintained by Com Ed.”

Dykhuizen added, “To clarify, lights on Downtown Main Street, some Route 30 intersections, and Milnes Drive lights are City-operated. Those are not Com Ed’s lights. A portion of the lights on Main Street are pre-programed to go off at 2:00 a.m.”

There are two ways to report a light that is out in your neighborhood:

1. Call 1-800-EDISON-1.

2. Report online at https://www.comed.com/Outages/ReportAnOutage/Pages/ReportaStreetLightOutage.aspx.
