Javier Carreno faces a life-threatening, health crisis. He needs to be placed on a kidney transplant list as soon as possible. That requires a payment of $28,000, but insurance will not cover this initial cost. Once he is included on the list, possible volunteer kidney donors can be evaluated, to see if they would be a good match. Almost half the money has been raised.
In the late fall of 2021, Carreno, age 48, was diagnosed with Stage 4 Kidney failure. Currently he requires dialysis three times a week, to filter his kidneys.
Those who wish to offer financial assistance, in any amount, may do so with a donation at Community State Bank, 220 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL, 61270. Checks payable to “Javier Carreno” will be added to his transplant account.
Javier and his wife Maggie own 5 Star Landscape Design in Morrison. Clients range from Clinton, IA, to as far as Dixon, IL. Besides a family with three children to support, these esteemed business owners employee a large squad of landscapers.
People are waiting to see if they would be a match to donate a kidney to Javi. However, their testing cannot happen, until Carreno is placed on the Transplant List.
Donations can make that happen.
