Hope Remians for Title

The Morrison Mustangs bought a little hope in retaining the 6th conference title in a row by knocking off conference leader Erie-Prophetstown Monday night 10-4.

The Mustang win finalized their conference record at 10-2 while the Panthers have one loss and three conference game remaining this week

 

Morrison took advantage of the gifts from EPTL when they scored five runs in the second inning. They started the inning with a base on balls, error ,base on balls, single and base on ball before the first out was recorded .Bill Lee Greul slapped a single to drive in the final runs and give the Mustangs a 5-0 lead after two. The  third inninng saw Morrison recieve two more walks around an error and two more runs were on the board and the outcome was determined.

A team effort from the mound between Joey Brackemyer, Connor Duncan and Bill Lee Greul held the Panthers to four hits and put the Mustangs in the wait and see position concerning the conference final results.

EPTL   0-0-2-0-2-0-0 = 4  4  4

The Mustangs will step out of their conference and play  Sterling at Morrison on Wednesdy, May 8, 2013.
