A beautiful day offered the local Morrison, IL, citizens an opportunity to gather downtown and be part of the 2023 Morrison pre-game, Homecoming festivities, on Friday, September 29, 2023. The sound of Police sirens signaled the start of the traditional parade at 3:00 p.m. Crowds lining the route were not disappointed; over 40 entries slowly passed, and candy was tossed. They featured the efforts of local and school organizations to display their support of the Mustangs.
Superintendent Scott Vance (right in convertible) and High School Principal David Mills led the procession along Main Street. Entries returned to the High School via Genesee Street-to-Genesee Avenue, allowing the enjoyment for the masses which lined the entire parade route.
