Highway 30 Repairs Begin August 24

“Construction work on U. S. Highway 30 in Morrison, IL, will begin on Monday, August 24, 2015.  Sjostrom & Sons is starting a contract to make pavement repairs.  The contractor will be removing and replacing deteriorated sections of the concrete pavement,” reported Gary M. Tresenriter, City of Morrison Director of Public Works.  “The $289,776 contract is scheduled to be completed by the end of October[.  It] will make repairs to the section of U. S. Route 30 from Garden Plain Road to Bartlett Street (near Carquest.)  Traffic will be restricted to one lane.  Flaggers will [direct] vehicles past the work area, so drivers should be prepared to stop when approaching the construction work.  Please slow down and use extreme caution while driving through all work zones!  Thank you.”
