Herbert Karl “Herb” Beveroth, 86, of Sterling, IL, died Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Sterling Pavilion.
Herbert was born February 28, 1931, in Morrison, IL, the son of Herman and Amelia (Machamer) Beveroth. He served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He married Judy Cedro on November 15, 1986, in Dixon, IL. Herbert was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid Cubs fan, a long time member of the Lyons Club of Sterling, and a member of Rock Falls Legion Post 902. Herbert was a real estate broker and certified real estate appraiser. Prior to real estate, he was a farmer in the Morrison area.
Survivors include his wife, Judy; one daughter, Suzanne Pollack of Marine on St. Croix, MN; one son, Tim (Pam) Beveroth of Sterling; three step-children, Jeanne (Bob) Izral of Sterling, Lisa Evans of Rock Falls, IL, and Eric Evans of Phoenix, AZ; one sister-in-law, Virginia Beveroth of Morrison; 13 grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by five sisters, Marion Meinsma, Dorothy Klitz, Althea Badtke, Onlie Walmsley, and Lois Kelley; two brothers, Marvin and Herman Beveroth.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 25, 2017, at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Rock Falls, IL, with Reverend Bree Truax, Pastor, officiating.
Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling, IL.
