Henrietta R. Manon, age 92, of Morrison, IL, died Sunday, March 12, 2017, at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison.
Henrietta was born January 27, 1925, in Dundee, IL, the daughter of Albert and Sophia (Baumgartner) Schultz. She married Leo Manon on November 2, 1945. He preceded her in death on June 20, 1997. She was a housekeeper for prominent business people and was also employed at Lawrence Brothers and GE.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia (Jack) Buckingham of Middleberg, FL, and Melody (Bret) Boyer of Fulton, IL; two sons, David (Alice) Manon of Tampico, IL, and Greg (Katie) Manon of Sterling, IL; 23 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; three daughters, Margaret Mae Manon, Mary Jo Manon, and Jody Lee Manon; one son, Leo Manon, Jr.; three sisters, Elma Van Lou, Freda Fisher, and Elsie Anderson; two brothers, Albert Schultz and Ray Schultz; one half-sister, Pearl Staples.
Visitation will be Thursday, March 16, 2017, from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., at McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls, IL.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m., at the funeral home, with Reverend Les Funderberg of First Open Bible Church in Rock Falls, IL, officiating.
Private burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park at a later date.
A memorial has been established for Henrietta’s granddaughter, Debbie Peppers, who is having a stem cell transplant in October 2017.
