A car wash fundraiser is planned from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m., on Sunday September 19, 2021, to help send a local youngster to the International Modeling and Talent Association (IMTA) Convention in 2022.  The location is Super Wash, Inc., 707 W. Lincolnway, Morrison, IL.

Emmerson is the son of  Anthony and Traci Walden of Morrison.  He is a 10-year-old Fifth grader at Southside School, as is his twin brother, Slade.  Their older sibling still living at home is Xavier Hall, a Senior at MHS.

For Emmerson, the interest in modeling began “two years ago, at photoshoots,” said his mother.  “Slade has done a couple photoshoots,” she added.  Emmerson has shown the stronger interest.

He attended Trade For Prints events, to gain experience and build a portfolio of professional photos to show at auditions.  Model Act Studio in Lemont, IL, is his Manager.  He recently signed with Modelogic in Chicago, IL.  Commercials, print advertising, and acting are the goal.  “The agencies are starting to merge him into acting now, ” noted Traci.

The young man was chosen to compete in modeling at the International Modeling and Talent Association’s (IMTA) convention over five days in Los Angeles, CA, in January 2022.  His mother noted, “He will compete in six modeling and two acting competitions.  Emmerson will meet agencies from all over the world.”  There will be six training sessions before the convention; seminars; workshops.

Emmerson’s “IMTA or Bust” fundraiser is to help with his expenses.  “IMTA or Bust” t-shirts and sweatshirts are for sale on Facebook, but only through Sunday, September 26.  There will be a Domino’s Pizza fundraiser in October.  Donations are welcome.  Contact Traci Walden at 706-312-4594.
