Fulfilling a resolution to help others is a gratifying way to start the new year. You can be part of a local endeavor to do so. During January 2015, Farmers Insurance Agent Angie VanderVinne is seeking public donations for five organizations or agencies in need. Donations will be collected at her office, 127 E. Main Street, Morrison, IL.
“Drop off a donation, and you will be entered in a drawing for a $50 gas card. Receive an EXTRA entry when you get an insurance quote with us,” stated VanderVinne.
Recipients and their requested donations include
- Morrison[, IL,] Friends Food Pantry, Riverview Center in Mt. Carroll, IL, and the YWCA in Sterling, IL, need personal items of any kind, including baby items. No sample sizes, please.
- The YWCA in Clinton, IA, needs women’s and children’s socks and women’s underwear.
- The Victory Center in Clinton needs personal items for men, but hair conditioner is not needed.
