Posted by

HennepinCanalCome out.  Get active.  Promote.  Enjoy our beautiful Illinois waterways during the annual clean up of Hennepin Canal.

The Rock River Development Authority (RRDA), in conjunction with the Illinois Department of Natural Resources, promotes family and tourism through servicing our scenic Rock River and Hennepin Feeder Canal.

Register for the clean-up day.  We can designate you or your party a particular section of the canal, based on your needs and experience. Call 815-590-6404.

There is a spot for everyone.

The feeder canal runs through Rock Falls, IL, connecting two of our largest parks.  It provides over 29.2 miles of pathway for walking, running, hiking, biking, and snowmobiling.  The path is open for use throughout the year.  The Rock River and feeder canal also provide great fishing, kayaking, canoeing, bird watching, and beautiful native prairie grass sites.  It is such an ideal place for photographers or just relaxing in the shade!
