The National Weather Service has announced a Heat Advisory in effect until 7:00 p.m., Friday, July 19, 2013. Hottest heat index readings will occur during the midday through early evening, with values up to 105 degrees. There is an increased risk of heat-related illnesses. People and animals without access to air conditioning are most at risk. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool, shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency; call 911.
