The goal of the Heartland Hospice “Vet-to-Vet Volunteer Program” is to match Veteran patients with a hospice-trained Veteran volunteer, who may have a similar background.
Veteran volunteers can provide friendly visits to Veteran patients and their families. Others may participate in our “We Honor Veterans” pinning ceremonies.
As a volunteer, you help determine which tasks you are best suited to perform.
The love, respect, and care provided to our patients and their families by our hospice volunteers is vitally important.
