Businesses sometimes need a “makeover” to remain attractive to their customers and clients. Such a visual change is more than an investment in good community relations–it is enervating and pleasing to see. Hardee’s, 200 N. Base Street, Morrison, IL, is the latest enterprise to reinvest in our City.
This fall, perimeter landscaping was extracted and replaced, sometimes with a nighttime work force. The exterior was painted with the corporate star motif. Fresh, blue shingles adorned the roof.
In December 2012 the interior was subjected to a multi-stage remodel.
Step one began Monday, December 3, and concluded Sunday, December 9.
- Changes begin at the entrance. There are new entry walls and bathroom signs and doors.
- Inside, retro-style artwork adds to a vintage “drive-in” feel. The smaller example explains the company’s long-standing stellar motiff: “I’m out of this world!” claims the little star.
- New counters and walls on the “front line,” where customers order, boast sleek stainless steel, red walls, and white tile. Hardee’s employees shown left-to-right are Devin Heatherly, Crew Member; Penny Scarbrough, Shift Leader; Chris Olade, Assistant Manager.
- The lobby showcases seating at round tables and booths, with a central divider wall. On Tuesday, December 11, electricians were in place making final adjustments.
Step two, coming soon, involves bathroom remodels and installation of the Hardee’s emblem atop the central wall of the dining area. There is a possibility of additional seating being installed on the north side of the wall.
