Happenings at Loft 112

2018OpenHouseLoftLoft 112 was busy during the month of April 2018.  Art classes began for all ages from three-to-90.  More artists displayed and sold their creations, and new artists and art came in weekly.  Plus, the Gallery has been the scene of a variety of gatherings.  This is truly a “happen’ place” in Morrison, IL.

Loft 112 is now home to 37 artists.  They include jewelry makers, photographers, painters, potters, and now greeting card creators.  Three women have produced a variety of cards, from note cards to single-greeting cards.  Each of these is unique and distinctive.  Come in and see what is new.

Woodlawn Arts Academy of Sterling, IL, in partnership with Loft 112, began art classes in April, for children and adults.  In addition, voice lessons also are being taught at Loft 112.  These will end the middle of May, but varied, diverse classes will be offered at the Loft during the summer.

Not only is Loft 112 an art gallery and place of art instruction, it is also place to hold an event.  During April, an 80th birthday party Open House was held for Sandra Crouse; the Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club hosted a Business After Hours; the Wa Tan Ye organization utilized the gallery for a regional gathering and program.  Loft 112 is available for open houses, birthday parties, programs, and gatherings.  There is a nominal rental fee.

Lastly, the Morrison community can become members of Loft 112.  Being a member offers the benefit of a reduced fee for rentals, an early sign-up for art classes, and a quarterly newsletter.  Your membership will help a Morrison Main Street business and the Fine Arts.  Inquire at the Loft for membership fees and cards.

Loft 112 offers Morrison and our surrounding communities an art gallery, a place for events, and instruction in art and music.
