One iconic feature of the Christmas season is a representation of the Nativity, the site of the birth of Jesus Christ. Currently, there are several detailed “models” of this scene on display in the Windmill Cultural Center, 111 Tenth Avenue, Fulton, IL. There is no admission to view the finely-detailed, handcrafted miniatures.
Windmill Cultural Center hours are
- Friday, November 14, and Saturday, November 15–9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Friday, November 28–10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Wednesday, December 3,10, and 17–9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
- Friday, December 5, Christmas Walk–5:00 to 7:30 p.m.
There is a large Italian-style Presipio and multiple German Krippens on view.
Smaller krippens are part of the exhibit.
