Deborah Bland wrote, “On the evening of Wednesday, September 13, 2023, our beloved family member, Jody Bland, had an unfortunate accident. Jody fell and sustained injuries that will take months to recover [from.] Everyone is thankful for his stable condition, and he is expected to eventually fully recover. Even though this event has not caused life-threatening injuries, it will certainly be life changing for him.
“Jody sustained extensive back/neck injuries as well as a laceration to his face. Given the news of Jody’s injury, he will have a long road toward recovery and will likely require rehab and physical therapy in the coming weeks and months. Jody also may need surgery, upon decision of the Neuro surgeon, so he can gain use of his hands and be able to walk again.
“We do know however, that the financial part will make an impact on Jody’s wife and his three children. He is a hard worker and worked hard to support his family. But…his unfortunate accident…will leave a burden on his family’s financial obligations, such as medical bills and upkeep of household bills.
“Any donations would be appreciated greatly, and the Bland family thanks you in advance for your prayers, love, and generosity.”
