Three blocks of Main Street were reserved for walking, sitting, and standing traffic beginning at 6:00 p.m. Picnic tables were available. The Brick Block Pub placed stools and high tables around their beverage cabana.
About 7:00, Big Hair Mafia Band began its “head banging,” 80s rock music, from atop a flatbed trailer before a receptive crowd, many of whom dressed for the retro occasion. Youngsters danced among women friends. Roller Derby gals were rolling. After the Lighted Parade, the band continued to entertain.
Entries required illumination: glow sticks, battery operated, or lights plugged into a generator. All types of vehicles were eligible: ATVs and UTVs, scooters, Power Wheels, to golf carts and highway vehicles. Convertibles were added this year. Morrison Police Department signaled the 8:00 Parade start with its own light show. Officer Drew Misfeldt drove a brilliantly-lit Squad car. He was followed by Officer Cory Drowns on a bicycle that projected blue and red paths of light upon the street. Click here to watch the parade: https://fb.watch/uv7G15845l.
