Glenda Jean Norman, 75, of Camanche, IA, formerly of Erie, IL, died Thursday, April 7, 2022, at home.
Glenda was born August 21, 1946, in Morrison, IL, a daughter of Gerald and Marian (Tessman) Rummel. She graduated from Lyndon High School. Glenda worked Security at the Exelon Nuclear Plant in Cordova, IL, from where she retired. Glenda was an avid sports fan and followed all of the Chicago teams, especially the Cubs. In her earlier years, she was an accomplished Bowler and enjoyed playing in a number of bowling leagues. She was most passionate about her grandchildren and loved spending time with them and following their activities.
She is survived by her son, Mike (Tracey) Norman, Schaghticoke, NY; daughter, Mindy Shaw (Bryan Ranchino), Camanche; son-in-law, Brett McCormick, Erie, IL; grandchildren, Emily and Brett Norman, Peyton Tiesman (Ryan Peyton), Bryce McCormick (Jarett Svihlik), Carson McCormick, Devin and Cody Norman, and Jacob and Logan Shaw; great-grandchildren, Rylee and Ryker Tiesman, and Kinnick Norman; sister, Mary Jo (Phil) Tichler, Morrison; brother-in-law, Richard Larkins; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Melissa Norman-McCormick; sister, Judy Larkins.
Cremation was accorded, and a private family Memorial Gathering will be held.
Memorials may be made to the family for a fund to be established.
