Girl Scouts to Host 14th Thin Mint Sprint

GSNI will host the 14th annual Thin Mint Sprint on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at The Rockford Program Center, located at 7194 Vandiver Road, in Cherry Valley, IL. The event will include an 8K Road Race, 2 Mile Run, and 2 Mile Walk through Swanson Hill, Baumann Park, and the Village of Cherry Valley.

Proceeds from the event support GSNI in their efforts to provide amazing experiences and opportunities for girls, to learn valuable life skills and try new things, all while cultivating the character to make a difference in the world.

Register online until Monday, September 27, at https://runsignup.com/gsnitms.  Onsite race day registration will also be available.

Fees are

  • 8K registration is $35 for youth and adult
  • 2 Mile Run is $35 adults; $15 non-Girl Scout youth; $10 for Girl Scouts
  • 2 Mile Walk is $15 for adults and non-Girl Scout youth; $10 for Girl Scouts, ages 18 and under.

Participants in the 8K or 2 Mile Run will receive a tech shirt with registration.  Participants in the 2 Mile Walk will receive a cotton t-shirt with registration.  T-shirts are guaranteed if runners register by September 18.

Both the 8K and 2 Mile Run will be chip-timed.  The 8K race is a Rockford Road Runners Circuit Race.  Rockford Road Runners members will receive a discount on 8K registration fees.
