Girl Scout Troop Leader Hillary Blevins has a combined troop of 30 Girl Scouts at the Daisy, Brownie, Junior, and Cadette Girl Scout levels. This year, after their annual Cookie Sale, the girls decided to honor local women business owners and managers with a cookie recognition. Girl Scouts of the USA is the largest female-run business in the world.
The Girl Scout Cookie program teaches girls five, critical, life skills:
- goal setting
- decision making
- money management
- people skills
- business ethics.
The troop writes, “Please join Morrison Girl Scout Troop 1504 as we celebrate local women business leaders, on Monday, April 23, 2018.” The presentations will be made at the troop meeting site, Northside Grade School, 520 N. Genesee Street, Morrison, IL at 7:15 p.m.
