Morrison, IL, Girl Scout leader Hillary Blevins is the Cookie Chair for the Brownie troop. Her ten second-and-third graders recently sold 1636 boxes of Girl Scout cookies. Most were delivered on Thursday, February 18, 2016. Eighty-five boxes were donated and shipped directly to members of the military. The photo shows half the troop’s order, awaiting parent pick up for delivery to area residents.

Through the cookie program’s “5 Skills,” each young #cookieboss develops creative and resourceful ways to sell cookies, including online orders. The more cookies girls sell, the more money they have to invest in
- community service projects
- learning experiences
- travel opportunities.
Sales of Girl Scout cookies teach basic business skills and instill a lifelong sense of civic responsibility that creates leaders. Many amazing girls do positive things with their cookie money!
One hundred percent of the net revenue raised through Girl Scout cookie sales in Northern Illinois stays with GSNI and its troops. Customers who purchase cookies are not only getting a delicious treat–they are making an important investment in their communities.
